AFTER CHRISTMAS SALE - PART 1

I wasn't going to do it, I purposely stayed away from Hallmark after Christmas but then I went in to get my Valentines Day Cards and they were 60% off so I couldn't resist.

LET IT SNOW!

This Let It Snow! ornament was free to me as a Keepsake Ornament Club member if I attended all of the special ornaments weekends in 2011. Isn't he cute? He certainly is a jolly snowman.

This one I had forgotten to put on my list and thankfully it was still available. I think they are so cute and they sing "We Need a Little Christmas!" I love that song from Auntie Mame.

This ornament is new to me even though it is from 2001. I was able to get this from Hooked On Hallmark which is a great place to go when you are looking for some older ornaments. It goes with a tin village that I have on my tree.

GNOMES ARE JUST SO CUTE

Here are a few of my more recent purchases. I enjoyed the movie Gnomeo & Juliet and decided to buy the ornament for my tree. I wish that I had been able to buy the Tangled ornament. When I made my list up I hadn't seen the movie yet and now everyone is out of it.

I thought this ornament was cute so I bought it!

Just got this one for my miniature tree. Isn't it sweet.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES

Wow, today is my husbands 60th birthday. I wonder if he ever had one of these? You know that this toy was released in 1938. Gee I wonder if my parents had one! I just love this ornament even though I don't ever remember having one. The legs also move on this ornament. I love seeing some of these retro toys back in the stores today.

Isn't Jiminy Cricket adorable? There is a button on the base that lights up the star in his hand! Actually Jiminy is pretty old too. Look at what I found out about him:

"Jiminy Cricket!" – sometimes rendered as "Jiminy Christmas!" – was originally a minced oath for Jesus Christ. The name of the character is a play on the exclamation – which itself was uttered in Pinocchio's immediate Disney predecessor, 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Another example occurs in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy (Judy Garland) cries, "Oh! Oh! Jiminy Crickets!" when she is startled by the Wizard's pyrotechnics. Garland also used the expression in her 1938 film Listen, Darling. It was also used several times in the 1930 movie Anna Christie, and in the 1938 cartoon The Brave Little Tailor, starring Mickey Mouse .

Bet you were not expecting a history lesson today!

FROM CHURCHES TO CHEERS!

This is not how you typically view my ornaments. This is an unusual combination for sure! Well 11/11/11 is not a typical date either. Hope that most people keep both separate on Sundays!

This little church reminds me of the movie Corrina, Corrina since it plays the song from the church scene in the movie. "This Little Light of Mine" You can also put a bulb from the tree in the back so it lights up.

I was a fan of the television show Cheers, how about you?

WHO DOESN'T LIKE A SNOWMAN

I have a fairly large collection of snowmen ornaments. I put most of them on three smaller trees in my dining room. I have a few on my big tree also. Snowmen are one of my favorites for Christmas decorations throughout my home.

IT'S A MYSTERY

This year Hallmark decided to do a Mystery Ornament Frosty. You have a chance of getting one of the three designs available. They are sealed inside in a thick black plastic bag so there is no cheating. There is "Aloha Frosty", "Toymaker Santa" and "Polar Penguin." I kinda wanted Toymaker Santa since I collect that series. Next in line I thought that Aloha Frosty was cute. Well I got Polar Penguin. Polar Penguin is super cute it just wasn't what I wanted. Amber knew I was bummed so later that day she bought one. I will give you one guess who she got. It was Polar Penguin! Another girl at work got Aloha Frosty so they switched. I am tempted to try again but most likely won't, or will I?

COFFEE ANYONE

I only have one ornament for you today. Having issues with photo bucket and Google so I could not do anything else. I think this ornament is adorable. I have other coffee ones on my tree that are really cute too! I will be picking up the rest of my ornaments for 2011 next Saturday. What I think I will do is hold the giveaway next week.

Thanks for stopping over.

Have a wonderful weekend.

TOO CUTE!

I think you will agree with me that these are just too cute! Hallmark has been making a Noah's Ark ornament each year for sometime now but it is not a series. Remember that these ornaments are from this years 2011 Dreambook collection and most of them can be purchased at your local Hallmark Gold Crown Store.

SERIES - PART TWO

Here are some more of the series ornaments that I collect each year. Sometimes when a series ends I will sigh with relief. Don't get me wrong I love them but sometimes I want to cut down on what I purchase which means it would be one less that I will buy next year. See the first one, this is #28 in the series. I do not own all 28 in this series. Don't you just love a Bungalow?

SERIES - PART ONE

Hallmark always has several ornaments that become series. Each year a new piece is added. Sometimes they only run for a few years and then there are some, like you will see in my next post, that are on year 28!

A FEW RANDOM PICKS

These are some random ones I purchased this year. I of course love the crowns, only fitting that my daughter would be a Princess when I am the Queen. Every once in awhile I get the larger Snoopy ornaments. Since I have a few of the camping ones I thought this would be a nice addition. I don't collect every Disney ornament each year but often I am drawn to one. I liked this one because when you go to Disneyland at Christmas all of the lamps have wreaths made into Mickey ears! Over the years I have collected a few of the Crayola ornaments. This one is perfect to put into my section on sledding. (Sorry it's a little blurry.) I just love the little Chocolate Cow. This is the one that I bought an extra of for a giveaway this year. (don't forget you can view the 2011 Dreambook if you click on it in my left column)
