Back in the early 90's these were popular. I even have an itty bitty starfish snowman pin. I was into wearing pins on my outfits all the time. Now when I see these I feel kind of bad for the starfish. I bet you still see some of these in the shops around beach towns. I actually got the Santa in the swimsuit in Florida back then.
I'm doing a few easy posts right now. Some of my ornaments are not Hallmark so I don't have to actually look each one up in my collector books. I've been trying to get posts ready for when I am gone on vacation.

Those starfish ornaments are so unique. I've never seen anything like them. I really like the traditional santa ones.
